The early stages are the most important. Planning an innovative solution, and creating a realistic comprehensive plan, makes the final design and construction process more efficient and organized. This can be a stand-alone service or be part of our complete planning and design service.
Design
We work with clients through conceptual and strategic planning to final design, following our own and third party guidelines (such as the USGBC’s LEED program) to create an innovative, efficient, viable green design and construction plan. We work with accredited architects, planners, contractors, suppliers and manufactures throughout the planning and design process to ensure an efficient, responsible, and streamlined project.
Product Specification
Once goals have been outlined we work with the client to specify sustainable materials, products and systems.
LEED Certification
REAL building helps facilitate the LEED certifcation process from the intial stages through project completion, and beyond. Our approach touches on three main principles—collaborating, informing and directing—that define our relationship with your organization from start to finish.
Project Oversight
We oversee and document the construction process to ensure all REAL and third party guidelines are followed. We ensure that all pre-requisites for LEED certification are met and all other requirements are followed to maximize the LEED points. Any deviations from these requirements will be noted, reported and corrected whenever possible.
Education
We educate our clients and their design and build teams about the LEED process and what guidelines they are required to follow and data they need to record/document.
Rebates and Incentives
We inform clients of the rebates, incentives and tax credits available for a project and can help with the documentation associated with such applications.
